We are increasingly being asked to deliver a basic session covering both safeguarding of children and adults.
The recommended timing would be a 3.5 hour but this can be discussed with each individual agency.
THIS TRAINING CAN BE DELIVERED VIA ZOOM OR FACE TO FACE.
Who should attend?
This course is a “must” for all those who work or volunteer directly with children, young people, and/ or their families and adults at risk of harm. It is carefully designed to ensure your staff know everything they need to from having a concern, confidentiality, recording and referring to your seniors.
What will the session involve?
· we will look at local safeguarding procedures;
· identify the relevant legislation and guidance;
· Logging and reporting of concerns;
· Internet safety.
What will you gain from it?
1) an understanding of the statutory responsibilities of organisations & individuals who work/ care for vulnerable groups;
2) recognise the different categories of abuse;
3) know how to respond to concerns about the safety & welfare ;
4) A certificate of attendance.
Costs
Our costs are per session. Ideally there should a minimum of 6 attendees.
